Alison Van Eenennaam was recently awarded the 2022 Academic Federation Excellence in Graduate and Professional Teaching or Mentoring Award from the University of California Davis.

Dr Van Eeenennaam discusses the possibilities of the USDA regulating gene-edited animals instead of the current regulatory body, the FDA, which currently considers genome-edited animals to be novel 'drugs'.

The American Society of Animal Science (ASAS) presented the prestigious Rockefeller Prentice Memorial Award in Animal Breeding and Genetics to Extension specialist Dr Alison Van Eenennaam on July 11th, 2019 at the ASAS Annual Meeting in Austin Texas.  Dr Van Eenennaam is the first woman recipient of this award since its inception in 1962.
